‘The Human Imprint’: Found objects, fine art and an inquiry into value.

‘The Human Imprint’ consists of notes, found objects, collections and similar ephemera that comment on the subliminal coherency of the human experience. Showcasing the intrinsic human interest in collecting experiences that manifest as physical data, the exhibition simultaneously exists by the very fascination of observing other people’s collections of unremarkable events.

With no formal opening and no advertisement, ‘The Human Imprint’ becomes a collection in itself, that someone may - or may indeed not - happen upon. In this way, it exists as the ephemera it showcases: unique, unassuming, discrete even - but rich with a sense of universal familiarity.

The Human Imprint will open from 21st - 22nd & 25th - 28th March 2024 at Wasps Studios, 77 Hanson Street, Glasgow
