‘James’ drops new Album ‘Living in Extraordinary Times’
The one hour and 16 minute long album features an even more diverging sound than that of the classic James anthems. With heavy hitting tones, beats, and rhythms, this is a whole new area for the band. It is truly visible that the group have went out of their way to take a step forward into the music they truly want to be making with this album and it’s payed off in their favour.
From start to finish, the album consists of a unique sound that will make you stray from emotion to emotion in a heart beat. One moment I felt on top of the world and the next I felt like the world was engulfing me. Its a truly unique experience. And I loved it! Each song is drastically different from the last yet there is almost like an underground theme that keeps all the songs consistent without the listener even realising. A perfect consistency in an undefinable array of genres.
In a field of wild flowers, every flower is different and diverse in its own way but nevertheless our minds still knows they are flowers, the album felt very similar to this in my perspective. Every track felt distinctively similar yet unique and quirky in its own right.
From the ashes of a band determined to continue their legacy that has thrived for so many years prior, has risen this new-feel album, pushing James in new directions and to new audiences. This album is worth a definite listen.
