Jaden Smith's Electric Album
The millennial voice of fashion and music innovation, Jaden Smith, recently dropped a follow-up EP to his most recent album ‘SYRE’ entitled ‘SYRE: THE ELECTRIC ALBUM’. This fresh, new release from Jaden is almost his way of giving the world an acoustic rendition to SYRE without it actually being an acoustic rendition of SYRE.
Featuring five brand new tracks, the album follows a much more melodic and over all soft tone. Featuring little to no rapping, Jaden prefers to hold long notes and have an underlying combination between electric riffs and acoustic qualities which has created something far from what people know of SYRE. Never the less, this album holds up compared to his previous work!
The last track on the Album, entitled ‘Icon? (Electric)’ is closest in relation to the original album yet differs dramatically. Unlike ‘Icon’ and its intense beats, catchy and fast rhymes, and literal iconic style, ‘Icon?’ is slowed down, moody, and acts like a pleasing and enjoying audible depressant. Calm and controlled, this track sticks to a consistent gloominess, ending in a warped turbulence of noise before leaving us with a little bit of distaste on our pallets.
